Roborock S5 Max UK Review (2024)

Last updated: 07.07.2023 Reading time: 14 Min.

The Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum quickly became one of the most popular and most praised robot vacuums in UK.

But why is that so? We’ll get to the bottom of that in this review.

One thing is for sure: They chose the name "Max" for a good reason!

All in all, the Roborock S5 Max does a great job. Roborock kept all the previous model’s excellent features. Good hardware, outstanding suction power, and efficient navigation.

The manufacturer also made out the few weak points of the predecessor and focused on improving them.

Is the Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum cleaner as good as its reputation?

You want to know whether the Roborock S5 Max is worth buying? Then read on - we’ll answer this question and many more below.

Roborock S5 Max Cleaning Performance – Our Review

It’s one of the most vital features of all vacuums: suction power.

We put the Roborock S5 Max's cleaning performance through its paces in this chapter.

Suction test on the hard floor

Overview of the Roborock S5 Max suction test result on a hard floor

The Roborock S5 Max achieved excellent results in our test on even floors like laminate.

Test result for sand (89 %):

Not even the heavy sand challenged the robotic vacuum cleaner much on the hardwood floor.

Roborock S5 Max removes sand on hardwood floor

It only left a bit of dirt in the middle of the test area.

Laminate floor after the Roborock S5 Max vacuumed the sand

The Roborock S5 Max came out with flying colours when it cleaned the two slightly lighter dirt types (oatmeal and lentils):

Test result for oatmeal (98 %):

The Roborock S5 Max removes oatmeal on hardwood floor.

We found a few oat flakes in the corners after cleaning - The robot vacuum cleaner can’t reach it because of its round shape.

The robot vacuum cleaner left some oat flakes in the corners during the oat flakes suction test on laminate

Otherwise, the result is excellent.

Test result for lentils (98 %):

It’s the same with grainy lentils.

Cleaning test on the carpet

Carpet cleaning is one of the most significant challenges for all robot vacuums.

Especially fine and heavy dirt (e.g. sand) sinks deep into the carpet, so the robot vacuum has a harder time removing it.

However, the Roborock S5 Max Robot Vacuum achieved great results when cleaning the carpets.

The reliable carpet detection function is the main reason for the excellent performance. With this, the robot vacuum immediately sets the suction power to the "MAX" level once it drives onto a carpet.

The maximum suction power of 2000 Pa is also necessary to achieve good cleaning results on this challenging floor type.

Low-Pile Carpet – Cleaning Review

Cleaning Test Result overview from Roborock S5 Max on low-pile carpet

The Roborock S5 Max did a great job on the low carpet.

No matter whether sand, oat flakes or lentils - The Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum cleaner hardly reaches its limits.

That means if you have many low-pile pile carpets in your home, you will be delighted with your new household helper.

Suction result on high carpet

Suction Test Result Overview on the Roborock S5 Max on high-pile Carpet

The Roborock S5 Max surprised us on high carpets.

Roborock S5 Max during the sand suction test on a high-pile carpet

We wouldn’t have expected such great results - especially with sand - from this all-rounder.

Sand quickly sinks deep into the carpet fibres, so the robot vacuum needs a lot of power to remove it.

The Roborock S5 Max is among the best robot vacuums in this category.

Roborock S5 Max vacuums the sand in the suction test

The Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum doesn’t show any weakness with lighter types of dirt such as lentils (98%) or oat flakes (98%), either!

That result catapults the robotic vacuum to the top of its class.

Suction result along skirtings and in corners

The Roborock S5 Max drives very close to the skirtings, thanks to its precise and efficient navigation.

The side brush removes the dirt and transports it towards the suction opening.

Roborock S5 max cleaning in corners and along skirtings

How well does it clean in the corners?

The Roborock S5 Max has a round shape, like all other Roborock models in the UK.

Therefore, the automatic vacuum cleaner robot can’t get into every corner. It’s impossible to achieve a perfect result.

But since the little household helper vacuums your home much more often, dirt can hardly accumulate in the corners.

So it’s not such a big deal ?

Roborock S5 Max for Hair (pet hair/long human hair)

Since the robotic vacuum cleaner has excellent suction power, it doesn’t have any problems removing light hair.

It reliably vacuums pet hair (dog hair, cat hair, etc.) and long human hair.

However, a few hairs wrap themselves around the side brush and the main brush.

A practical feature: You can find a cleaning tool under the Roborock S5 Max’s case.

Roborock S5 Max is standing with an open case, and the cleaning tool is visible

You can easily remove hair with this.

You can also disassemble the main brush in a few simple steps.

Now you can remove the hair from the brush with little effort.

How well does the Roborock S5 Max mop? Our Review.

The Roborock S5 Max is a hybrid model. The small household helper can vacuum and mop your home in one go.

This type of device is getting more and more popular in the UK among smart home fans.

Therefore, we also tested and compared the best robot vacuum with a mopping function.

The Roborock S6’s suction performance (the predecessor of the S5 Max) was good. So the manufacturer had to look for another thing it could improve on the robot vacuum cleaner.

The choice fell on the mopping feature.

The Roborock S5 Max comes with many significant improvements:

  • A larger water tank (290 ml instead of 140 ml)
  • Water level control via the app
  • Increased contact pressure on the mopping pad

But do all the functions contribute to a better mopping result?

You can attach the wiping plate, including the wiping cloth, to the robot vacuum from behind.

Attaching the water tank and wiping plate to the robot vacuum from behind.

For the first time, the Roborock S5 Max also has an electric water pump.

With this, you can control the amount of water via the app at 4 levels ?.

"Level 3" was usually sufficient for parquet and laminate in our tests. We got the best results at “Level 4” (maximum) for tiles in the bathroom.

The manufacturer states that the robot vacuum can mop a 65 m² flat 3-4 times (or an area of 200 m² once) at a stretch.

Once the Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum has finished mopping, it quickly returns to the charging station. The smart household helper recognises this and automatically reduces the water intensity. The mopping pad will dry faster so that the robot doesn’t have to wait too long with a wet mop at the charging dock.

A plastic mat also comes with the charging station.

The charging dock with the plastic mat

Roborock didn’t improve the mat, though. It’s not of such high quality, and we don’t find it appealing from a visual point of view, either.

The Roborock S5 Max may offer many improvements, but its focus is clearly on excellent suction performance.

The robot vacuum cleaner can’t replace mopping by hand yet. It’s simply not heavy enough for that.

Roborock S5 Max mops the floor

And yet...

Even though we let the Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum clean the flat almost every day, mopping adds that little „extra of cleanliness“.

The dirty mop after mopping

That’s what the mop looked like after mopping the bedroom.

We had excellent experiences with the Roborock S5 Max’s mopping feature. The mopping performance provides a tad more cleanliness in every room ?.

PS: We recommend dampening the mop a little under the tap before cleaning. Then you’ll get a nice wet trace from the very beginning.

You can also add a bit of special cleaner to the water tank or the mop. That improves the wiping result even more.

Tips for a better mopping result

Here are a few cleaning tips on how you can improve the mopping result.

  • If you have dried, stubborn stains, simply let Roborock S5 Max mop them several times at the highest water intensity level. That will help remove more stubborn stains.
  • You can add some cleaner to the water tank. That’ll improve the result a little. However, please ensure that it is a neutral and compatible all-purpose cleaner or even a special cleaner for robot vacuum / mop hybrid.
    • Ps. Roborock UK advises against using a cleaner in the instructions. Therefore, this isn’t a recommendation for action from us!
    • Optionally, you can also put some cleaner on the mop before starting to clean. That’ll also improve the result slightly.
  • Wash the mop regularly at 40 degrees in the washing machine.

Roborock S5 Noise Level – Our Review

The noise level of the Roborock S5 Max depends mostly on the cleaning mode.

You can select the cleaning mode on the start screen via the "Mode settings".

Cleaning modes select in the app

The following 4 settings are available (the Roborock S5 Max’s volume increases by 5 dB per level):

  • Quiet: 50 dB (1)
  • Balance: 55 dB (2)
  • Turbo: 60 dB (3)
  • MAX: 65 dB (4)

The Roborock S5 Max is very quiet compared to other models.

Volume Scale for Roborock S5 Max

We usually let the robot vacuum do its work on the "Balanced" level. You can still watch the TV in the same room, but you have to turn up the volume setting a little.

But this point is not relevant from our point of view, since the robot vacuums usually go on their cleaning trips when you are on the road ?‍♂️.

If you send the Roborock S5 Max out while you’re at home, you can choose the "Quiet" power mode.

Then it won't bother you.

Mapping: Save several maps for multiple floors

The Roborock S5 Max can create and save a map

The Roborock cannot navigate through your home without having a map of it.

Therefore, it has to create a map of your flat first.

All you have to do is activate the "Save Map" setting in your app.

Then you can send the fully charged robot vacuum on its first cleaning trip from its charger.

The Roborock S5 Max sets off to explore your home and creates a map of it.

Help your little robot friend when it explores the flat for the first time and keep your home as tidy as possible. Please open all doors so that the robot hoover can easily reach every room.

By the way, you can see live in the app how the robot hoover creates the map of your flat.

Follow the creation of the map live in the app

The Roborock S5 Max took about 43 minutes to create a map of our 80 m² flat.

The Roborock S5 Max does a very accurate job here. It also marks furnishings such as the dining table / dining table legs (1) or doors (2) as objects in the map.

Detailed map of the flat in the app

Furthermore, the Roborock S5 Max learns with every cleaning trip. The robot vacuum automatically notices when the environment changes and updates the map accordingly.

Roborock S5 Max can save several maps for different floors

What a great feature: The Roborock S5 Max can create and save several maps for multiple floors!

You can save up to 4 maps.

You can also edit the second map as desired - just like the main map. Thus, you can easily plan and individualise the cleaning of your flat.

Unfortunately, the Roborock S5 Max can’t climb stairs (yet), so you still have to carry it to the second floor.

Then you just have to select the second map and start the cleaning.

The Roborock S5 Max will do the rest. The little household helper will drive back to the place where you put it down on the second floor once it finishes cleaning.

Navigation

The Roborock S5 Max uses laser navigation (LIDAR)

The Roborock S5 Max’s navigation is fantastic.

Roborock relies on the proven Laser Navigation (LIDAR / LDS Navigation) for the S5 Max, just like all S series models.

LDS navigation technology is currently the best and most efficient navigation method for robotic vacuums.

The small navigation tower is on top of the Roborock S5 Max and uses the rotating laser to measure the room in real-time.

Laser-based navigation tower

The LDS technology and the sensors (13 in total) guarantee very efficient and seamless navigation.

The robot vacuum drives in a very structured way.

Once you send it out on a cleaning trip, the Roborock S5 Max scans the room along the walls.

Then it cleans the interior systematically in S-lines (typical zigzag lines).

The Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum cleaner took about 38 minutes for our 80 m² flat (41 m² cleaning area). It didn’t leave out a single spot.

You can see the cleaned area and time for cleaning in the app

Obstacle detection

The LDS-based navigation technology already recognises most of the obstacles and roughly marks them on the map. Therefore, it usually doesn’t bump into pieces of furniture.

If it does happen, Roborock S5 Max is very gentle with your furnishings - It rarely uses the bumper and won’t damage your furniture.

Flat obstacles are challenging for most robot vacuums. Therefore, you should tidy up your home before cleaning. Remove socks, charging cables and shoes before the robot vacuum starts its trip.

Otherwise, the robot vacuum may get stuck on your shoelaces, for example. If that happens, you’ll receive a push message on your mobile phone that says, "the brush is blocked". Then you have to free your little friend so it can continue cleaning.

Overcoming Obstacles and Precipice Detection - Our Review

The Roborock S5 Max overcame a maximum height of 2 cm (0.8 inches) on 90-degree edges in our tests.

Roborock S5 Max overcomes an obstacle of 2 cm

Therefore, the robot hoover shouldn’t have any problems climbing doorstep - even in older flats.

We always test the obstacle clearance on hard 90-degree edges to ensure objectivity.

The Roborock S5 Max can undoubtedly overcome higher obstacles with rounded edges.

Take a look at our "Robot vacuums for high doorsteps comparison" if you live in an old building with very high doorsteps. We reveal which robot vacuum can climb best and what you can do if your household helper can’t overcome doorsteps.

The Battery Life

The Roborock S5 Max has a powerful 5200 mAh battery. The manufacturer states that it can clean for 2 hours (or 200 m²) at a stretch with that.

That’s a great result and should be more than sufficient for most homes.

The Roborock S5 Max took about 38 minutes for our 80 m² flat and still had 63 % battery power left.

The Roborock S5 Max automatically returns to the charging station as soon as the battery runs low (approx. 20 %). A full charge takes approx. 5 hours.

Once the battery status is back at approx. 90 %, it sets off again to continue the cleaning process where it left off (Recharge and Resume function).

Smartphone-App

You can choose between two apps for your Roborock S5 Max: The Roborock App (iOS / Android) and the Xiaomi Home App (iOS / Android).

Roborock App

Roborock App in the App Store

Xiaomi Home App

Xiaomi Home App in the App Store

Roborock App with all functionsBoth apps are identical in functionality and don’t differ much in terms of design.

The manufacturer wants to have more flexibility with its own Roborock App. They release future functions, updates and also bug fixes much faster.

The Roborock App worked very well during our test.

However, if you use other Xiaomi devices, too, we recommend the Xiaomi Home App. You can save and control all devices via one app.

The most important functions at a glance

You can see the most important information on the starting page.

The app also has some unique functions. We’ll give you more details about them below.

Setup No-Go zones or No-Mop zones:

We frequently set up no-go zones and no-mop zones.

Set the suction level and water intensity per room

You can control the suction power, but especially the water intensity for the mopping function, via the app and set it individually for each room.

Therefore, you can choose the perfect setting depending on the floor type. You have four levels at your disposal.

Other functions

You can find many other handy functions in the menu item "Settings", which you can select on the app’s homepage.

  • In the menu item "Timer", you can create an individual cleaning schedule.
    • You can set the start time, duration and mode.
  • Language selection (You can choose between English, German and many other languages)
  • Selective room cleaning
  • With the Pin-and-Go function, you can let the Roborock clean a specific area (even several times).
  • At "Remote control", you can control the robot yourself with a joystick or buttons. Just give it a try - it was fun :)
  • You can also update the firmware.
  • At "Cleaning history", you can see statistics on the past cleaning cycles.
  • At "Maintenance", you will see when you should replace or clean the most important parts.
  • You can set up a DND (Do Not Disturb) period. Roborock S5 Max will neither clean your home nor communicate with you via voice output during this "do not disturb" period.
  • Choose your location (UK)

Overall, the app seems well-thought-out and sophisticated. The beautiful design and the straightforward and intuitive menu navigation also impressed us.

Roborock S5 Max: Voice Control via Alexa and Google Assistant

The Roborock S5 Max is compatible with the usual voice assistants - Alexa and Google Home Assistant. However, you can only use voice control via the Roborock app.

You have to activate the "Roborock Plus skill" via the Amazon website to connect the Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum with Alexa.

So far, voice control only works with a few commands such as "Start", "Stop", "Pause", "Resume", "Return to charging station", and "Change mode".

Roborock S5 Max Robot Vacuum - Design and Dimensions – Our Review

The Roborock S5 Max looks almost like its predecessor.

Roborock S5 Max and Roborock S6 from above

It’s got the same round shape, the same dimensions (length: 35 cm (13.8 inches) x height: 9.65 cm (3.8 inches) x width 35 cm (13.8 inches)) and is also available in the UK in the same colours (black and white). It weighs 3.5 kg.

Using a ruler to measure the Roborock S5 Max’s height

You should measure your home very carefully, as the robot vacuum has a laser navigation tower.

Does the Roborock S5 Max get under the couch, bed or heater with its height?

This way, you can avoid unpleasant surprises.

We like that the robot vacuum is available in two colours.

We prefer the white model. The Roborock S5 Max black model may look nice and elegant, but it also quickly attracts dust. You have to dust the robot vacuum with a damp cloth once a week.

The workmanship of the Roborock S5 Max leaves nothing to be desired.

The robot vacuum seems to be of very high quality. It’s got sensors from Bosch and rollers from the German manufacturer Covestro.

The Roborock S5 Max from below

The Chinese manufacturer’s quality isn’t inferior to the competition from the USA or Europe.

Scope of Delivery

The Roborock S5 Max comes in a well-designed package. The delivery scope in the UK includes the following accessories and spare parts:

The Roborock S5 Max on the floor with accessories and spare parts

  • The robot vacuum itself
  • Side brush
  • Main brush
  • Charging dock
  • One EU charging cable
  • A transparent plastic mat for the charging dock
  • Water tank (290 ml)
  • Wiping plate for the water tank.
  • A reusable mop
  • A HEPA filter
  • A comprehensive instruction manual
  • A Quickstart Guide for App Setup

Roborock S5 Max’s delivery scope doesn’t include spare parts such as additional side brushes or an additional HEPA filter. Other manufacturers have more to offer.

It seems like Roborock wanted to save some money here. If we still get perfect performance at a reasonable price, we won't complain ?.

You can buy Roborock S5 Max spare parts on Amazon in the UK (here*) instead.

You can also use the filter, main brush, and side brush of Roborock S50 and S6 as spare parts on Roborock S5 Max.

Roborock S5 Max Review UK (2021): Price & Conclusion

The Roborock S5 Max does an EXCELLENT job. The manufacturer identified the minor weaknesses of its predecessor and improved them - Especially the mopping performance.

When you keep that in mind, you see the "malprovements" (meagre scope of delivery, a slight decline in the charging station) in a new light. These cost savings were probably necessary to keep such a great price.

In the end you get an excellent product at a top price!

So if you don't have a robot vacuum yet, we can wholeheartedly recommend the Roborock S5 Max.

  • Is there a bumper in the laser tower?

Please Note: The Roborock S 5 Max models from 2019 don’t have a bumper in the laser tower.

That could be a problem, depending on your flat.

Fortunately, Roborock recognised quite quickly that they made savings in the wrong place. They added bumpers in the laser tower in newer models of the Roborock S5 Max from 2020.

Therefore, make sure that your model is a Roborock S5 Max from the year 2020 when buying. Then you’re on the safe side.

If you buy the Roborock S5 Max second-hand or you’re not sure whether the laster tower has a bumper, you can simply test it. If you can quickly push in the laser tower, it has a bumper.

  • Roborock S50/S6/S5 Max: Which one’s the predecessor/successor of which model?

The Roborock S5 Max isn’t an improved version of the somewhat older Roborock S50/S55 model. The name can be misleading.

The Roborock S5 Max is the official successor to the Roborock S6.

The manufacturer is launching the S5 Max model just half a year after the Roborock S6 came out.

The name "S6 Max" would have been more logical. We don’t know why the manufacturer chose this somewhat confusing product name.

  • The Main Brush

The main brush has the usual curved shape. That makes it less noisy when in contact with the floor.

Picture of Roborock S5 Max from below shows the main brush

You can also easily remove and disassemble the main brush. That makes removing stubborn dirt much more manageable (such as human and pet hair).

It’s a handy feature - Especially for pet owners

  • The Side Brush

The 5-arm side brush is attached at the front right and is made of plastic.

The side brush reliably sweeps out the dirt (even from corners) and transports it to the suction opening.

We found minor disadvantages to the side brush made of bristles (that the S50/55 models have). The side brush sometimes stops for a short moment on carpets, for example.

But the differences are so minor, so it’s not even worth mentioning them. The many advantages, like the longevity of the plastic brush, offset the minor drawbacks.

If you don’t like the plastic brushes, you can use the side brush of the Roborock S50 model.

The brushes are compatible with the S5 Max, S6, S50/55 and Roborock S4 models.

  • Dust container and HEPA filter

The mobile dust container has a capacity of 460 ml.

We had to empty the dust bin by hand after about 5-7 cleaning runs in our 80 m² flat.

Of course, that varies depending on the size and degree of soiling of the flat.

You can easily open the dust container. Then, you have to tap it out over a dustbin to clean the dust container and the filter.

Cleaning the dust container and HEPA Filter on Roborock S5 Max

Empty and wash the dust container and the HEPA filter from time to time and leave them on the windowsill to dry for about 24 hours.

Afterwards, you can put the empty dust container, including the HEPA filter, back into the robot vacuum.

E voilà, the Roborock S5 Max is ready to go again :)

  • Charging Dock

The charging dock is relatively small, measuring 150 x 127 x 98 mm.

Since the charger usually isn’t a spectacular eye-catcher, we can live with the fact that it doesn't take up too much space ;)

Roborock S5 Max drives to the charging dock

However, there were some things we didn’t like about it:

Firstly, you can only take out the relatively short power cable from one side (right). That could be very impractical under certain circumstances.

The charging station also doesn’t have a cable management system at the back. They only added a Velcro fastener in the delivery scope as a replacement.

The S5 Max also comes with the familiar transparent mat from its predecessor. It protects your floor from wet mops.

However, the quality of the mat has declined. It seems flimsy and poorly finished, and you can’t plug it into the charging station with a click-lock, either. You’d have to glue it to the floor.

    That’s very impractical.

Here, the robot vacuum takes a small step backwards. But the manufacturer did it with good reason: they wanted to keep the reasonable price.

  • 4 different suction levels for every occasion

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting the power settings. There are 4 different levels: Quiet, Balanced, Turbo and MAX

The cleaning performance and volume vary depending on the selected cleaning mode.

Our extensive tests have shown that the cleaning result in "Balanced" mode is excellent. The suction power is entirely sufficient here unless there’s a whole bag of corn flakes scattered around the flat.

The higher power settings provide a tad more cleanliness on carpets, though. The robot vacuum automatically switches to the maximum suction power setting once it drives onto a carpet.

  • Suction power/suction strength in Pascal (Pa)

The suction power range extends from 1200 Pa. (mode: Quiet) to 2000 Pa. (mode: MAX).

The Roborock S5 Max is in the upper third with these values compared to the competition. Such a powerful suction is more than sufficient for thorough vacuuming.

There are models on the market that have higher suction power on paper. However, their cleaning performance is significantly worse than that of the Roborock S5 Max.

How well your robot vacuum cleans your home depends on many factors (suction power, navigation, quality of the brushes, obstacle detection, etc.).

As we all know, “physical power” (or suction power) is not everything in life ;)

  • Water tank

The water tank has a size of 290 ml

The manufacturer states that the robot hoover can mop a 65 m² flat 3-4 times (or a 200 m² flat once) in one go with this.

You just have to attach the wiping plate to the water tank to activate the mopping feature. The robot hoover quickly gives the start signal "Wipe mode activated" and is ready to go.

  • Is there a carpet detection function when mopping?

Roborock S5 Max doesn’t have an active carpet detection function for the mopping feature.

The robot vacuum cleaner mops all floors as soon as you attach the wiping plate to the water tank. It pulls the cloth "behind itself". This means that it would also mop the carpet.

But there’s a solution in the numerous app settings.

If you don't want that the robotic cleaner mops your carpet, you can let it vacuum the room with the carpets only. You can also set up a no-go zone for the carpet. But then it wouldn’t vacuum them, either.

  • Improved wiping performance with spring pressure construction

The robot vacuum weighs only 3.5 kg, which is far too low to put enough pressure on the mop.

Roborock has identified that problem and added a feature to the Roborock S5 Max that generates a constant spring pressure of approx. 300 grams on the mop in addition to its weight.

Roborock S5 Max is on the right track here. However, that’s not sufficient for a quantum leap in wiping performance yet :)

  • Can the Roborock S5 max navigate in the dark?

Navigation in the dark works perfectly. The robot vacuum navigates equally well in bright light and at night, thanks to laser-based navigation technology.

  • Roborock S5 Max vs. mirrors

The robot vacuum - like all LDS-based robot vacuums - has its difficulties with mirrors. It doesn’t recognise mirrors as obstacles yet.

The little household helper thinks there’s another room behind it, so Roborock S5 Max has to use the Bumper and slightly hits the mirror. Then it marks the mirror as an obstacle on the map.

  • Crash sensors

We tested the crash sensors in front of the stairs. They work very reliably, so the robot vacuum won’t fall under any circumstances.

Some people say that the Roborock S5 Max perceives black carpets as precipices and therefore doesn’t drive onto them to clean them. We didn’t have such problems with our dark carpet.

Our Tip: Simply cover the crash sensors with non-transparent tape. Then the robot vacuum won’t have any problems with the black carpet. Of course, you shouldn't have any "real" precipices in your home. Otherwise, you or your new robot friend will have a problem ;)
  • Merging or separating rooms

The Roborock S5 Max automatically divides the rooms when it creates the map.

If you don’t like the Roborock S5 Max’s map, you can edit the map and merge/separate rooms on your own.

Function in the roborock app to separate or merge rooms

  • Roborock S5 Max Mobile App Setup

You have to sign up with an email address to use the app.

Next, you have to connect the Roborock S5 Max to your Wi-Fi.

Open the app and go to "Add device". The app will recognise your Roborock S5 Max so that you can connect it to your Wi-Fi.
