    Test Winner 2020 🏆
The Roborock S7 with the mopping plate from below

    Roborock S7

    Roborock S7

Well suited for pet owners thanks to numerous innovations. 🐶

High-tech functions everywhere you look! Highlights include a liftable mop for carpets (VibraRise), a vibrating mopping system (Sonic Mopping) and an extraction station with a reusable dust bag.

What can the Roborock S7 do?

The Roborock S7 UK really convinced us in our independent review.

The cleaning performance is second to none.

    Hard floor:

Carpet owners, in particular, can breathe a sigh of relief: the mop is lifted when driving over a carpet.

The Roborock S7 can be retrofitted with a suction station if desired.

How the Roborock S7 Suction Station works

Here too, Roborock's philosophy is: mediocrity is not an option!

Compared to the competition, the extraction station can be operated with disposable dust bags or with a reusable dust container.

Especially interesting for pet owners: The main brush of the Roborock S7 is made of rubber. This means that long pet hairs cannot get caught in it.

    iRobot Roomba i7+

    iRobot Roomba i7+

    "The luxury version”

A luxurious vacuum cleaner with premium features - Well suited for pet owners thanks to the self-emptying cleaning base and maintenance-free brushes.

All about the iRobot Roomba i7+ main

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is a luxurious robot vacuum that’s quite expensive. However, the Roomba i7+ offers numerous premium features that make removing dog and other pet hair child’s play.

The self-emptying dustbin is undoubtedly one of these premium features.

There’s no doubt that pets shed a lot of hair and bring a lot of dirt into the home. The mobile dust container fills up in no time at all.

Depending on your household and the level of dirt in your home, you may have to empty the mobile dust bin almost every day.

And this is where the Roomba i7+ is the hero of the hour. The self-emptying dust bin (cleaning Base) will do all the work for you.

Showing how the iRobot Roomba i7+ self-emptying dust bin works

The Roomba i7+ robot vacuum also has two maintenance-free rubber brushes, which is another feature that makes it suitable for pet owners.

Two maintenance-free rubber brushes of the iRobot Roomba i7+.

The rubber brushes’ great advantage: hairs won’t wrap around the two brushes thanks to their unique design.

Only very few hairs can get stuck at the ends from time to time.

But the manufacturer has another ace up his sleeve: you can remove the two brushes with a simple "click mechanism" to clean them.

Removing stuck hair from the Roomba i7+'s brush.

You can easily pull out the hair and won’t even need tools for that.

The user-friendly main brushes reduce the maintenance effort enormously.

The smartphone app (wi-fi connectivity needed) from iRobot (iRobot Home) is one of the best and most functional mobile apps on the robot vacuum market.

It also has essential functions for a household with pets like "defining no-go zones" or "creating cleaning schedules".

The voice control with Alexa (Amazon) and Google Assistant also worked well.

Unfortunately, the Roomba i7+ doesn’t have a mopping function.

If mopping the floors is a requirement for you, you could buy a separate mopping robot from iRobot (e.g. Braava Jet M6).

As a highlight, you can link two devices via the "Imprint Link Technology".

The Braava Jet M6 (buy here*) mopping robot can automatically start its work after Roomba i7+ has finished vacuuming the home.

This automates the cleaning of your flat even more.

All in all, iRobot offers a lot of luxury and quality for your smart home. However, quality has its price here. Therefore, the Roomba i7+ isn’t the best solution for everyone.

    Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI

"Well suited for households with pets thanks to great functions".

Good mopping function, excellent cleaning performance on laminate and carpet, automatic obstacle detection, and self-emptying basde (optional) - The T8 AIVI has everything a household with pets could need.

All about the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI main

The T8 AIVI is the perfect robot cleaner in a pet household.

The cleaning job of the robot vacuum convinced us in the test. The T8 AIVI handles dog hair, cat hair, and other pet hair without any problems.

The vibrating mopping function is undoubtedly one of its highlights.

Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI mops the floor with the vibrating mop plate.

The vibrations stimulate "scrubbing movements" to remove even more stubborn stains of all kinds (water stains or paw prints).

The Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI is our test winner in the category "Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos".

Another highlight that makes this robot vacuum particularly suitable for pet hair is the self-emptying dustbin.

The self-emptying dust bin of the Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI stands on the floor.

There’s usually a lot of dirt in a household with pets - the mobile dust container quickly reaches its limits, so you’ll have to empty it by hand.

The emptying base takes that burden off your shoulders.

Attention: You have to buy the self-emptying dustbin separately.

Furthermore, the Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI has advanced AIVI technology (Artificial Intelligence and Visual Interpretation). With this, the robot vacuum recognises and avoids obstacles automatically.

That’s thanks to the combination of the HD camera and artificial intelligence.

Obstacle detection technology of the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI

The OZMO T8 AIVI can clean the floor, even if it’s not 100% tidy, without getting stuck on the next best obstacle.

By the way, it recognises dog excrement very reliably as an obstacle. (Nevertheless, you shouldn’t rely on it 100 %).

The HD camera of the OZMO T8 AIVI also works great as a surveillance camera. You can see the live images in the app.

Using the AIVI technology as a surveillance camera.

Especially if your four-legged friend doesn’t like being alone in the flat, the surveillance camera creates new possibilities.

You can check on your pet while you are on the road.

    Dog lying on the bed

If your four-legged friend is lying on the bed without permission, you can even communicate with him via the microphone function.

Thanks to the microphone function, you can talk to your pet at home while on the move.

The smartphone app is well-structured and contains all the essential features that make living with your pet much more manageable (you can create no-go zones and no-mop zones, cleaning schedule, etc.).

Thanks to the four different suction levels, the robot can clean your home in the quietest power mode if your pet gets scared easily.

The Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI is very quiet and will certainly not frighten your pet.

    • Quiet: 50 dB
    • Standard: 60 dB
    • Maximum: 67 dB
    • Maximum+: 70 dB

You can easily remove and disassemble the combo tool to free it from stuck hairs with the included cleaning tool.

Sure, you have to dig a little deeper into your pocket for the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI (incl. emptying station).

Want to learn more about the differences/similarities of the OZMO models? Then take a look at our detailed comparison: Ecovacs Deebot OZMO 950 vs T8 AIVI vs T8

The main difference between the two models is that the T8 uses a "cross laser" for obstacle detection (True Detect 3D technology).

Deebot OZMO T8 recognises a shoe as an obstacle

The obstacle detection was almost 100% accurate - a great result!

A home with pets is always busy, so there’s always something on the floor. You can't keep up with cleaning. But you can still send the T8 on its mission, even if the flat is not perfectly tidy. It won't get stuck on a dog toy!

That’s a great feature for pet owners.

What do I need to consider when buying a robot vacuum for pet hair?

To avoid making the wrong decision, you need to know a few things before buying a robot vacuum cleaner for dog hair and other pet hair.

A robotic vacuum should be able to remove pet hair if it wanders around a household with pets.

However, we also take a close look at other critical criteria that make living with your four-legged friend much easier.

Here is an overview of the essential facts:

    • Requirement: The model must be an overall good robot vacuum cleaner
    • How good is the suction power?
    • How often do you have to maintain and clean the brushes (side brush and main brush) ?
    • How big is the dust container?
    • Do you need an self-emptying station?
    • Does the robot vacuum have an integrated mopping function?
    • Does the robot vacuum have a HEPA filter?
    • How good is the cleaning along the ledges and in corners?
    • Can you define no-go zones (virtual walls / boundaries)?
    • What’s the volume of the robot vacuum?
    • Do you want your Robot Vacuum Cleaner to detect and avoid obstacles automatically?
    • What’s the price-performance ratio like?

In the following, we will go into the individual points in more detail.

The requirements: The model must be an all-round good robotic vacuum cleaner!

For the category "Best Robotic Vacuum for Pet Hair", we only consider excellent robot vacuum cleaner models that could handle the challenges pets give them.

A "good robotic vacuum cleaner" must meet particular requirements. These include: Strong suction on hardwood floors and carpets (low-pile carpets and medium-pile carpets), clear and practical mobile app, good navigation, long battery runtime, low noise level and good price-performance ratio.

If you want to find out more about what makes a good robot vacuum, take a look here: Robot vacuum review.

Let's be honest: What's the point of having a smart vacuum cleaner robot that removes all dog and other animal hair...

..but can’t clean up the rest of the dirt in the flat?

    That wouldn’t help much.

Again: The perfect solution is an „allround good robot vacuum“ that works great for pet hair, too.

As a pet owner, you have special requirements for your robot vacuum.

We’ll get more into detail about that in the following.

    Strong suction power

A robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair must have a strong suction power.

That might be self-understanding for most. But especially with pets, excellent suction performance is even more important.

And that both on hardwood floors and carpets.

Because pets don't just lose a lot of hair, they also bring all kinds of dirt into the flat.

That’s why you have to be able to rely on the robotic vacuum.

Make sure that the appliance has several power settings.

    Maintenance of the brush

Robot vacuums usually don’t have any problems with hairs. Dog hairs are very light, so the vacuum can pick them up and remove them at ease.

However, Pet hair (especially long hair) can wrap around the brushes (side brushes and main brush).

That happens to almost all tested robotic vacuum cleaners (exception: iRobot Roomba i7).

Then why not just leave out the brush?

    That wouldn’t make much sense.

The brush usually consists of bristle hairs and lamellae. The brush’s texture and rotation ensure that it picks up all the dirt from the floor.

Only an excellent main brush can lead to good cleaning results on hard floors and carpets.

But how can you remove hair from the brush?

It’s not the end of the world if a few long hairs get wrapped around the brush.

The robot vacuum can still clean your home as usual.

At some point, however, you’ll have to remove the long hair.

Removing hair from the dirty main brush of a robot vacuum.

When buying your robot vacuum cleaner, you should make sure that you can remove the brush and disassemble it at the sides. That’s where many long hairs get stuck.

    Removing and disassembling the brush.

You can use conventional scissors to remove the stuck hairs.

Many manufacturers in the UK offer a more convenient solution for this. They put a unique cleaning tool under the lid.

The cleaning tool under the lid of a robot vacuum.

This cleaning tool is designed extra for hair removal.

Removing long hairs from a robot vacuum’s main brush with the cleaning tool.

You can remove the long animal and human hair quickly and reliably with it.

Also convenient: Since you can store the cleaning tool under the robot’s lid, you’ll always have it at hand and can’t lose it.

Some manufacturers realised that this is a common problem and offer unique solutions.

    • Some manufacturers include a special attachment - without the brush - in the delivery scope. It prevents dog hair, cat hair etc. from wrapping around the brush. You won’t have to clean the brush anymore, but the cleaning result is much worse without the combi-brush.
    • iRobot takes a different approach with its models. Instead of using one brush made of slats and bristles, the US manufacturer uses two plastic brushes that rotate in opposite directions.

Two plastic brushes on the iRobot.

The significant advantage: long hairs can’t get stuck here. If a few dog hairs get caught on the sides, you can simply pull them out again without much effort.

Size of the mobile dust bin

We all know this too well: You've just cleaned the flat, and the floor is already dirty again.

Even our little Fina - as sweet as she may look? - makes a massive mess on a daily basis.

    Dog sitting on the floor.

It doesn’t take long until the robot vacuum’s dust bin is full.

Pet hair takes up a massive amount of space.

Hair in the dust bin of a robotic vacuum cleaner.

Therefore, it’s better to have a large dust container.

    Self-emptying dust bin

Especially if you have many big, hairy dogs at home, a robot vacuum reaches its limits quite fast.

The mobile dirt container fills up relatively quickly if the vacuum collects all that dog hair.

This means that you have to empty the dust bin by hand every day.

Emptying the mobile dust bin of a robotic vacuum cleaner by hand.

But there’s a solution at hand for this problem: a self-emptying dust bin.

And that’s how it works: Once the robot vacuum returns to the charging dock, a special device empties the mobile dust container. It stores the dirt in a separate dust bag in the self-emptying base.

Dust bin is automatically emptied during charging.

You have to change the dust bag in the auto-emptying dustbin every few months or so.

This makes your daily cleaning much easier and more automated.

Especially for heavily soiled households with several dogs, a robot vacuum with an auto-empty dock could be a perfect help.

Does the robot vacuum cleaner have a mopping function?

Robot vacuum cleaners with a mopping function have a significant advantage: they can vacuum and wipe in one go.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that the so-called 2-in-1 hybrid robot vacuum/mop are so popular.

A robot vacuum cleaner with a mopping function can also be very interesting for pet owners.

You can target specific areas to remove paw prints and water stains from your four-legged friend.

Robot vacuum cleaner with mopping function cleans the floor.

However, we have to point out that even if they continuously improve the hybrid models’ mopping performance, it can’t replace mopping by hand yet.

If your four-legged friend had a nice mud bath earlier, even the best suction-mopping robot in the world can’t save you here. ?

Nevertheless, the wiping function removes light stains, small bits of dirt and dust residues and thus ensures a tad more cleanliness in your home.

If you want to know more about robot vacuums with wiping function, then read our detailed review: "Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos inthe UK".

A tip: Pay attention to the size of the water tank. The larger the water tank, the more living space the vacuum can mop in one go.

Does the robot vacuum cleaner have a HEPA filter?

We strongly recommend that you ensure that your robot vacuum for pet hair has a HEPA filter.

    HEPA filters of vacuum robots.

Especially as a pet owner, you know all about the countless types of dirt that our pets take into the home every day.

It’s not enough if the robot vacuum sucks up the coarse dirt only and leaves the smaller and invisible dirt behind (such as allergens, fine dust and pollen).

    Luckily, there’s the HEPA filter.

It removes even the smallest dirt particles from the airflow before it gets back into the room.

Especially for allergy sufferers, a HEPA filter is a "must-have" in a robot vacuum. It’s enormously helpful.

How good is the cleaning of ledges and corners?

Many pet hairs accumulate along the ledges and in corners.

Therefore, the robot vacuum should achieve good cleaning results in these hard-to-reach areas.

    Cleaning along the ledges:

The robot vacuum must have side brushes to achieve good results when cleaning along the ledges.

The robot vacuum moves very close to the bar so that the side brush can reach the dirt there and transport it to the suction opening.

Robot Vacuums remove dog hair along the ledges

    Corner cleaning:

Robot vacuums usually have a round shape.

Therefore, it’s physically impossible to remove 100% of the dirt in corners.

    Robot vacuum cleaning corners.

Nevertheless, the robotic vacuum cleaners have a good cleaning performance here, too.

The side brush can’t reach only a small area very deep in the corner.

As the proud owner of a robot vacuum, it’ll clean your flat almost daily. This means that significantly less dog hair will get stuck in the corners.

Therefore, it’s not a big issue.

The Roborock S5 Max cleans our flat every day, too. This means that almost no dirt accumulates in the corners. We only have to vacuum the corners once a month with a conventional upright vacuum (more information here: cordless vacuum review). That's all it takes.

D-shaped vacuum robots achieve somewhat better results when cleaning corners. Neato Robotics (f. e. Neato Botvac d7) has some interesting models of this kind. However, even these can’t deliver 100% satisfactory results.

D-shaped robot vacuum cleaner vacuums in corners.

However, the "D-shaped" vacuum robots have numerous weaknesses in other categories, which is why we wouldn’t recommend buying a "D-shaped" model.

    Virtual Walls / No-go zones

If you share the flat with pets, there’ll always be areas where the robot vacuum shouldn’t clean.

Typical examples are the drinking bowl or the litter tray.

Dog sitting on the floor in front of the food bowl.

Therefore, it’s very convenient if you can quickly define no-go zones in the mobile app.

    Volume

Not just people aren’t fond of noisy vacuums.

Our four-legged friends have very sensitive hearing. Loud noises can frighten pets.

Therefore, you should choose a robot vacuum that is as quiet as possible.

Robot vacuum cleaner cleans next to a sleeping dog.

The volume of a robot vacuum cleaner is usually 50-65 dB.

Overview chart of the volume of a robot vacuum.

You can control most models’ suction power via the mobile phone app.

If you select one of the lower power settings, the noise level will be more pleasant for your pet.

    Automatic obstacle detection

If you have several pets at home, you’re undoubtedly familiar with this problem: There are always objects lying around. You can't keep up with cleaning up.

However, it can become a big problem for robot vacuums if the flat is untidy.

The robot vacuum could get stuck on objects that are lying around, such as dog toys. Then you have to rush to help and free your little household helper so it can continue cleaning.

In other words, laser navigation (Lidar) isn’t the best solution here.

Instead, the “Artificial intelligence" is here to save the day.

AI technology in robot vacuum cleaners for obstacle detection.

This way, the robot vacuum identifies an object as an obstacle and bypass it.

The Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI, the Roborock S6 MaxV or the Deebot OZMO T8+ already use this modern technology.

It reliably recognises dog excrement as an obstacle and drives around it.

Even though the technology doesn’t have 100% accuracy yet, it’s still beneficial for large households with several dogs.

    Price-performance ratio:

Your new robot vacuum will accompany you and your pet for many years to make your life easier.

Therefore, we strongly recommend looking for an excellent price-performance ratio when buying a new robot vacuum for pet hair.

This graphic shows that a robot vacuum is significantly cheaper in the long term than a standard vacuum.

Many people make a mistake looking for the cheapest offer available and making huge compromises on the functions.

We want to spare you from making such a mislead purchase decision with this guide.

You should always consider the purchase of your robot vacuum for pet hair as a well-thought-out investment.

Is the robot vacuum also suitable for long human hair??

Whether it’s human hair, dog hair or cat hair - the robot vacuum doesn’t make a big difference in it.

Long hair from people is also very light, like pet hair, so the robot vacuum has no problems sucking it up during cleaning.

The difference between human hair and pet hair is that human hair is usually much longer.

Therefore, long hairs may wrap around the main brush of the robot vacuum more often.

If several women with long hair live in the flat, you’ll have to free the brush from the long hair more often.

Tips and tricks for even more cleanliness in a pet household

Here we want to show you a few tips and tricks so that living with your four-legged friend and a robot vacuum cleaner works even better ?.

Accustom your pet very slowly to the new robotic vacuum cleaner

Anything that moves and makes a sound will attract your pet's attention.

We recommend demonstrating the robotic vacuum to your pet before it starts its first cleaning trip.

Dog lying next to the robot vacuum cleaner.

Then your pet can slowly get used to the new device.

When the time has come, you should set the robot vacuum to the lowest suction and noise level so that your pet doesn’t get scared.

You should always stay close by during the first few rides and observe how your four-legged friend behaves. If it acts weird, you should immediately take corrective action.

Once your dog has identified the robot vacuum as his playmate, it’s much more difficult to get that out of the pet’s head again.

And you can probably imagine how that can turn out for the vacuum robot... ?

    Regular fur care

This may be obvious, but it’s fundamental.

How can you avoid excess pet hair in the home?

That's right: you don't let it get there in the first place.

You can remove a lot of pet hair in advance with regular and intensive fur care. Then the dog hairs won’t have a chance of spreading in the flat.

You can find more tips and tricks on dog grooming here.

Let your robot vacuum clean the flat more often

With a pet, there also comes a duty of cleaning the home more often.

You have to clean the floor more often than usual. There is no getting around.

But that's the reason why you got a robot vacuum, right?

The robot vacuum can clean your home several times a day if necessary. He indeed doesn’t have a problem with that.

Our Fina also brings in a lot of dirt all the time. And that's a good thing! Our robot vacuum (Roborock S5 Max) is in constant use every day.

Use the scheduling function / timer function:

You can easily set up a weekly cleaning schedule via the mobile app.

Especially with a pet, regular cleaning is essential.

This way, you prevent dog hair (or any other dirt) from spreading in the flat.

Once the dirt has sunk deep into the carpet, it’s tough to remove it again. Pet hair also won’t have a chance of spreading in the entire flat when you clean the floor daily.

Ledges and especially corners magically attract hair. However, the robot vacuum has a hard time cleaning the corner due to its (usually) round shape. Daily vacuuming prevents hair from accumulating in corners and along the ledges.

It leads to more cleanliness in your home if you clean the floor every day.

And all that without having to raise a finger. What a great feeling!

Clean the main brush and side brushes regularly

You can’t avoid long dog hair or even human hair wrapping around the main brush and side brush.

But that’s not the end of the world.

However, if more and more hairs wrap themselves around the brush, the cleaning performance will eventually get worse.

    And that’s not good.

Therefore, you should maintain the brushes regularly.

Most manufacturers include the appropriate cleaning tool directly in the delivery scope.

You can remove the hair quickly and without any problems with the help of this special cleaning tool.

You could also use conventional scissors.

Removing hair from the main brush.

The process is straightforward and takes only 3-5 minutes.

Advantages of a robot vacuum for dog and other pet hair

Especially if you have pets at home, a suitable robot vacuum brings numerous advantages to it. Dog hair and other pet hair won’t stand a chance in your home.

Automated cleaning saves a lot of time and effort!

We all know this too well: You've just cleaned the flat, and the floor is already dirty again.

Once again, you have to fetch the vacuum and start vacuuming.

From now on, the robot vacuum will do all the dirty work - literally. All you have to do is press the "Start" button.

The little household helper cleans the flat reliably, and you won’t have to raise a finger (okay, maybe one to press the button ? ).

That saves a lot of time, effort and trouble. In the meantime, you can spend your time with the beautiful things in life.

Vacuuming is usually not one of them ?.

    Regular cleaning ensures more cleanliness

In the past, you might have put off cleaning your home from time to time. But as the proud owner of a robot vacuum, this won’t happen anymore.

You don’t have to fetch the stick vacuum to get rid of annoying dog hair (or cat hair, etc.). You just have to press the start button in the app.

The result: It vacuums the flat much more regularly. Pet hair and other dirt won’t accumulate in the corners (or on carpets) anymore.

Your flat will always have lovely basic cleanliness.

The Roborock S5 Max is also in constant use in our flat almost every day. The apartment is always clean.

    Good for allergy sufferers

Especially allergy sufferers have big problems with pets. It’s almost impossible to get rid of all the dirt that our four-legged friends bring in.

If you have allergies, a robot vacuum cleaner makes living with pets much easier.

It’ll clean your flat much more often.

You could even let your new household helper clean the home (several times) each day if necessary.

Most robotic vacuum cleaners also use HEPA filters, which remove dust from the air before it flows back into the room.

If you have severe allergic reactions, you should consider buying a robot vacuum with a mopping function or even an emptying station.

These are very convenient for allergy sufferers and can make living with pets even more effortless.

Where do the robot vacuums still have room for improvement?

Nobody (or rather nothing) is perfect. Not even your robot vacuum for dog hair.

Therefore, we’ll talk about the robot vacuum’s features that still have room for improvement.

    Larger mobile dust container

The mobile dust container of a robot vacuum cleaner usually has a capacity of 350 - 550 ml. That’s relatively small.

Manufacturers are doing their best and try to increase the mobile dust container’s capacity of the latest models all the time.

However, since the robot vacuum should be as flat and slim as possible (so that it can also vacuum under your couch), it’s quite challenging.

A "typical" robot vacuum cleaner is usually round (sometimes also D-shaped), weighs approx. 3 - 5 kg and has the following dimensions: Width: ~35 cm (13.8 inches) x Length: 35 cm (13.8 inches) x Height: 10 cm (4 inches)

Therefore, you shouldn’t expect a massive improvement in the mobile dust container’s size unless you can tolerate a significantly larger robot vacuum in your home.

    We don't want that ?.

But that’s not the only possible solution. The manufacturers provide an excellent alternative, which is the "automatic emptying station".

It empties the mobile dust container automatically at the charging station whenever the battery is charged.

    Cleaning in corners

Most robot vacuums that work well for pet hair have a round shape.

The round shape has many advantages: Good manoeuvrability, flat design, etc.

One of the few disadvantages here is that it can’t clean the corners 100 % satisfactorily.

The robot vacuum can’t reach all the dirt in the corner (e.g. pet hair, dust, etc.) due to its shape.

    But that’s no biggie.

Since a robot vacuum cleans your home at least every second day, hardly any dirt accumulates in the corners.

You have to clean the corners every few weeks with a conventional cordless vacuum. That's all.

Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Pet Hair in the UK - Our conclusion

Pets in the household are quite challenging in terms of cleaning. There’ll be much more dirt on the floor. Especially pet hair can bring a lot of trouble with it.

You have to fetch the vacuum almost every day and put in a lot of effort to keep the floor clean.

Robot vacuums for pet hair take that burden off your shoulders.

They reliably remove any dirt that your four-legged friend brings in (and also all the long hairs).

You’ll only have to clean the brushes, vacuum the corners with a handheld vacuum every few weeks, and empty the mobile dust container.

You can get an excellent robot vacuum for dog hair at a fair price, which brings you incredible comfort and life quality.

We’ve used a robot vacuum in our pet household for quite some time now. It saves so much time and effort, and we don't want to miss it anymore.

    Additional information

    • Does the robot vacuum for pet hair require special maintenance?

Since pet hair can wrap around the main brush and the side brush, you need to clean the brushes regularly.

The manufacturers usually include a special cleaning tool in the delivery scope for this.

Otherwise, you won’t have to maintain it more than conventional robot vacuums (empty the mobile dust container, clean the HEPA filter, replace spare parts due to wear and tear, etc.).

    • Is it possible that my dog’s hair is too long for a robot vacuum?

No, the hair length doesn’t affect the cleaning result.

Whether short or long pet hair - a good robot vacuum has enough suction power to remove any pet hair.

Longer dog hairs may wrap around the brushes more often, but this doesn’t affect the cleaning result. It just means that you may have to free the brushes from the stuck hairs more often than usual.

    • Are Medion robot vacuums suitable for households with pets?

Medion robot vacuums are among the cheaper models.

These little household helpers can probably handle hairs, too. However, if several pets live in the household or the home’s degree of soiling is more significant, Medion’s robot vacuums quickly reach their limits.

That's why you shouldn’t save money here. You can’t go wrong with one of our top 5 models for a household with pets.

    • How suitable are Neato robot vacuums for homes with pets?

Neato even launched a robot vacuum explicitly for pet owners: the Neato Robotics D450 Pets Edition.

According to the manufacturer, the brush is very effective with pet hair. It also removes hair along the ledges / in corners more reliably thanks to the D-shape.

Also the Neato Botvac D7 might be a goog choice for pet owners.
